The University of Sunderland BA (Hons) Degree programme
jointly delivered in Vietnam
The BA (Hons) Degree programmes (Top-up) from the University of Sunderland (UK) are delivered to all local and international students in Vietnam since 2005. These programmes have been established with participation of world-class International Institutions such as the University of Sunderland (UK), Pearson (UK), and TEG International College (Singapore) and the top-tier public universities: National Economics University, Banking Academy of Vietnam, Danang University of Economics, and the University of Technical Education, Ho Chi Minh City.
The programmes are ecognised and approved by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), Vietnam, to provide opportunity for students to study International Standard programmes of Higher Education. These programmes are fully conducted in English and in accordance to the standards and requirements of the University of Sunderland (UK). The students from these programmes can transfer their study to Singapore and/or UK at any stage during their period of study.

Students are expected to take greater responsibility for their own learning as they progress through their programmes. The student-centred approach will be encouraged through the use of specific teaching strategies; case studies; projects and practical exercises, supplemented by the use of appropriate support materials; etc. Active engagement with the subject material enhances learning and many of the learning strategies used attempt to promote this.
These programmes are delivered through a blend of enthusiastic and high-profile academic teams in an International Standards learning environment ensuring the most effective results for students.
Upon completion of these programmes, students will be awarded with a BA (Hons) Degree issued by the University of Sunderland (UK), which is internationally recognised and locally approved in Vietnam.

Modern and high standard facilities
Joining this programme, students can enjoy the environment of a modern campus with facilities which meet international standards. It includes a library, computer labs, a canteen, an auditorium, and modern & well-equipped classrooms. Classrooms are fitted with a teacher work area, projectors, desktop computers, DVD player and loudspeaker system.
Effective learning and assessment methodology
The programmes are developed to educate and equip students with knowledge, understanding and skills for success in a wide range of business areas. It place emphasis on practical application of the use of work-related experience which can help students to develop a range of skills and techniques and attributes essential for successful performance in working life. The assessment criteria are to ensure that effective learning of the content of the programme has taken place. Students are provided with constructive feedback and guidance about how they may improve by capitalising on their strengths through clear constructive comments.
Affordable tuition fees
Thanks to the collaboration agreement between the two government-funded institutions - the University of Technical Education, Ho Chi Minh City and the University of Sunderland (UK), the Institute can offer a comparative low tuition fee, which is affordable for wide range of students from different income group. This provides an opportunity for students to participate in an internationally-recognized higher education programme. The tuition fee is approximately one third of that applicable in UK for the same programme.
